Vy has been awarded a contract for Sørlandsbanen, Jærbanen and Arendalsbanen from 2027, writes the Ministry of Transport in a press release. It means that Go-Ahead Nordic will lose its contracts for train services in the south from December 2027. – The most important thing for us is of course that the travelers always have a good train service. The transition between the two companies must be well prepared for the employees and the travelers. We are concerned with safeguarding the employees’ interests and ensuring a good process in connection with the change, says transport minister Jon-Ivar Nygård. The state-owned company Vy also previously had a contract for this stretch.
