Recent developments have shed light on  controversial flights  taken by *Juliana Guerrero*, the Chief of Cabinet of the  Ministry of Interior  in Colombia. Details have emerged surrounding not only her  travel in June 2025  but also her  attendance  at the famed *Vallenato Festival* in Valledupar, which occurs at the end of April. This festival is a significant cultural event, celebrating the rich musical tradition of Vallenato.

Colombian journalist  Jacobo Solano  reported via his X account that *Guerrero* visited  Valledupar  with her sister, *Verónica Guerrero*, to partake in numerous activities associated with the festival. However, the manner in which she reached the Colombian capital has raised eyebrows, particularly in light of a scandal involving the use of a police aircraft for personal use.

In his post, Solano revealed that “*Juliana arrived on April 30 to Valledupar with her sister. A source indicated to me that she did not arrive in Coopera, Brasilia, or via commercial flight.*” This revelation points to potential misuse of governmental resources amid growing scrutiny over public officials’ travel practices.

During her stay in Valledupar, Guerrero reportedly traveled in two  armored trucks  provided by the *National Protection Unit (UNP)*, complete with a five-member security detail. She participated in essential political meetings and played a prominent role in the *May Day* demonstration within the city.

“Guerrero arrived on April 30 at night and convened with members of her party, the *Historical Pact*, to finalize strategies for mobilization,” noted Solano. He added that she met with *Robert Romero Ramírez*, discussing plans at the residence of *José Carlos Pérez Yanci*, linked with the influential *Gnecco clan*. The next day, she actively participated in the labor march called by President  Gustavo Petro .

Subsequently, Solano shared footage that purportedly shows Guerrero at private gatherings, mingling with several current officials from the *Petro government* and various congressmen aligned with the progressive agenda. High-profile figures in attendance included *Daniel Rojas*, Minister of Education, *Rusinque Sky*, Superintendent of Industry and Commerce, and *David Razo*, a congressional representative from the Historical Pact.

“During multiple concerts and *parrandas*,” Solano remarked, “Juliana was seen at an event hosted by former mayor  Fredy Socarrás , mingling with *David Razo*, *Rusinque Sky*, and *Daniel Rojas* in a countryside retreat located in the *Las Marías Urbanization* (from Valledupar). She later celebrated her mentor’s birthday at a rented estate with political campaigners and allies from her party.”

These incidents not only have raised questions about the ethics of public officials but also cast a long shadow over government accountability in Colombia. The image of government officials benefiting from state resources for personal endeavors is a narrative that resonates deeply among the populace, particularly in the light of ongoing battles against corruption.

As public scrutiny grows, it will be essential for the *Ministry of Interior* and its officials to address emerging concerns transparently. Many citizens are increasingly demanding accountability and a commitment to ethical governance — elements crucial for restoring public trust in governmental institutions.

The discourse surrounding Juliana Guerrero’s actions invites reflection on broader issues relevant in Colombian society today. As political dynamics evolve and demands for transparency intensify, the implications surrounding the travel of public officials may offer valuable lessons on governance and public service in Colombia, challenging leaders to reflect on their responsibilities to the people they represent.

In conclusion, the unfolding narrative around *Juliana Guerrero* and the allegations connected with her use of official resources highlights the critical need for ethical standards and accountability in public office. The potential misuse of governmental assets raises pertinent questions that demand answers, emphasizing the importance of transparent governance in nurturing the public’s trust and ensuring the integrity of political systems.
