Founded by  Josep Tarré  and  Josep María Cama , Water World first opened its doors on  July 12, 1985 , making it the first water park in Catalonia. It features facilities that self-limit capacity to  6,000 visitors  to ensure a pleasant and secure experience. Encompassing  150,000 square meters , the park is home to  35 aquatic attractions  designed for guests of all ages.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions, from a wave pool and two aquatic roller coasters to exhilarating rapids and kamikaze slides capable of reaching speeds of up to  60 km/h . Among the highlights are  Speed Furious , where guests experience a thrilling vertical plunge from a launch pad, and the  Rafting River , featuring light and musical effects while riding on inflatable boats designed for groups of four. The park also offers milder options, such as the  Family Lagoon , alongside several new attractions including  Tornado King ,  Tornado Land , and an exclusive children’s area featuring a mini “Tornado King” designed specifically for younger guests.

Celebrating its  40th anniversary , Water World has introduced a new attraction that promises to make waves:  Tornado King , recognized as the most thrilling slide in Europe and one of the most renowned worldwide. As highlighted by the park, this attraction, built using patented technology and following a  €10,000,000  investment, invites adventurers to plunge down two gigantic vertical walls, promising an exhilarating sensation of zero gravity.

Additionally, this summer, the park has rolled out seven  new family premium areas , supplementing its existing ten VIP lounges adjacent to the wave pool. The updated facilities also enhance the comfort and security of visitors through two types of  Fast Pass  services and a parking area equipped with  92 surveillance cameras .

To visit Water World and enjoy its vast array of attractions, prospective guests should be mindful of the park hours. It operates from  May 24 to September 21 , open  Monday to Sunday . Operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from May 24 to July 6 and from September 1 to 21. During the peak season from July 7 to August 31, the park stays open until  7:00 p.m. , with attractions closing an hour before park closing time.

As for admission prices,  general entry is €40 , while the reduced rate for children under 1.20 meters is  €22 . The  VIP zone , known as the *Premium Zone* for four individuals is priced at  €85 , while beach lounges and relaxation areas cost  €60 . Those interested in obtaining a *Fast Pass* can choose unlimited use for  €35  for seven attractions or  €21  for a single use per attraction.
