13 June 2023 at 12:24 Bhatti in court: Opposes extradition to Norway The court hearing regarding the extradition of the Norwegian citizen Arfan Bhatti is underway in the Pakistani capital Islamabad. The hearing in the local court started again today, after it was postponed for a week last Tuesday – and the detention was extended. Bhatti wants to be released on bail, while the Pakistani authorities want to extradite him to Norway. Bhatti has opposed Norway’s request for extradition as he believes that he has nothing to do with the terrorist attack in Oslo a year ago. He is charged with complicity. As soon as the court proceedings got under way, the press was asked to leave the court, at the request of Bhatti’s defense lawyer.
