Relatives have been notified. A man in his 80s has been transported to Haukeland University Hospital by air ambulance. He was conscious when he was taken away from the scene of the accident. According to the police, the two had a relationship. It was at 1pm that the police received a report that a car was on its roof after a traffic accident on county road 5141 Nautøy at Bakkasundet in Austevoll. One person was trapped, while another got out of the car. The car was about 20 meters off the road. Life-saving first aid was initiated and the air ambulance moved out. The police are still at the scene to investigate. It is too early to say anything about the actual sequence of events or the cause of the accident, writes Vest police district in a press release.
