The case is updated. The police launched a major search operation for a woman in Farsund on Monday evening. Search crews searched through the night. – The area that was relevant to search has now been searched. Active search has as of now ended on land. But the case is being investigated further in Farsund with many crews on the move. Operations manager in Agder police district Knut Odde says that it will be appropriate to start a new search should the investigation reveal new information. – We are still working with the hope of finding her. Last seen on Saturday evening The police received a report of concern from the family on Sunday about a woman who had not returned home. According to the police, the woman was probably last seen late on Saturday evening. – The woman was reported missing during the day on Sunday. She had then been missing for around half a day, says incident leader Arnt Helge Dragland to news. The missing woman is approximately 165-170cm – tall and has dark blonde shoulder-length hair. When she disappeared she was probably wearing dark trousers and a dark leather or suede jacket. The police have urged people who were out in Farsund at the weekend to take care of any pictures or video they have from Saturday night. – Technology moves fast, so if people have films or photos from cars or mobiles from the city centre, we ask them to take care of them, says operations manager Eyvind Formo. The woman is said to have been on her way to an event in the city centre, the police told fvn. Check the property – Volunteer crews, the lifeboat and the police are participating in the search, says Formo. The police have also asked residents in the center of Farsund to check their properties. – Also stalls, portrooms, slopes, gardens. Also, whether anyone has boats that are on land or on water in the area should be checked. The operations manager states that an investigation is underway, which involves, among other things, the questioning of witnesses in parallel with the search for the woman.
