The Swedish Road Administration strongly encourages winter tyres. – Do not set out on a drive over a mountain pass without winter tyres, writes Vegtrafikksentralen west on Twitter. The Meteorological Institute writes that the snow line is expected to vary between 900 and 1,200 meters on Saturday and Sunday, and that five to ten centimeters of snow has been reported. A yellow danger warning has been issued covering Heiane, Hardangervidda, Jotunheimen and Dovrefjell. The institute also encourages those who will be driving over the mountain to calculate some extra travel time and use tires according to the conditions. (NTB)
