The police have decided that they are not going to question Crown Princess Mette-Marit in connection with the case against her son Marius Borg Høiby, assistant lawyer Petter Grødem confirms to news. He represents the aggrieved Juliane Snekkestad in the case. – The public prosecutor’s office has considered it such that it is not necessary to call Mette-Marit in for questioning, says Grødem. Police attorney Andreas Kruszewski writes in an e-mail to news that they do not see the need to question the crown princess. – It is the public prosecutor’s view, based on the investigation so far, that the need is not present as of now. Grødem says he is surprised by the police’s decision, but that they will not appeal the decision. Grødem asked the police to question the crown princess just over a month ago. – We have considered that she has information that we thought would be good to get into the case, says Grødem, and adds: – When I ask the police to call in a witness, that usually happens. So I am surprised by the decision, says Grødem. They received the police’s explanation on Friday. TV 2 and Aftenposten mentioned the police’s decision first.
