The conclusion comes after the review of truss bridges after the Tretten bridge collapsed in August. – These three bridges do not have the required load-bearing capacity. Various reinforcement measures must be taken before they can be reopened. There are differences in what measures must be taken for the individual bridge. How long this will take is not clear yet, says section chief Gunnar Eiterjord in the Norwegian Road Administration. The day after the bridge collapse at Tretten, the Swedish Road Administration closed a total of 14 bridges with a notice to check the safety of the wooden bridges.
