14 August 2024 at 06:55 The US approves an arms sale to Israel for over NOK 200 billion The majority of the sale relates to the sale of 50 F-15 fighter jets, the country will also buy tank grenades, grenade launchers and new military transport vehicles. Human rights groups and some members on the left of the Democratic Party have asked the governing authorities to limit or stop the sale of weapons to Israel. They refer, among other things, to the enormous civilian losses in the war on the Gaza Strip. Congress, which has been informed of the Foreign Ministry’s approval, can prevent the armory, but it is a demanding process. (NTB)
