China has conquered the robot vacuum cleaner market. With almost 20% market share, Roborock is the brand that leads the segment and has just announced new products for 2026. The most notable is the Roborock Saros 20, its new high-end robot vacuum cleaner that comes with a chassis that allows it to overcome a hitherto insurmountable obstacle: the steps.

The Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Climber

The Roborock Saros Z70 previously amazed users with a robotic arm that picked up clutter off the floor. The Saros 20 shifts focus and introduces innovative “little legs,” allowing it to conquer slopes of up to 8.5cm. While Roborock isn’t the first to showcase climbing capabilities—Dreame presented a stair-climbing robot concept—this commercial product solidifies its innovation.

The standout feature of the Saros 20 is its AdaptiLift 3.0 chassis, which merges lifting wheels with a “climbing arm.” However, this model can only scale a 4.5cm step followed by a 4cm step, limiting its adaptability to conventional stairs, which typically rise 17-20cm. Still, its elevated chassis allows for effective cleaning on carpets of up to 3cm in height.

Advanced Navigation and Scrubbing Technology

The Saros 20 is equipped with the StarSight 2.0 intelligent navigation system. This innovative technology can detect up to 200 types of obstacles, including very small items, ensuring a thorough clean. Additionally, it boasts an impressive suction capacity of 35,000 Pa to tackle even the toughest messes.

For scrubbing, the Saros 20 features two rotating mops with the FlexiArm system, designed to reach those pesky corners. The Sonic model comes equipped with the VibraRise scrubbing system, generating up to 4,000 vibrations per minute. The charging base further enhances this experience, washing the mops with hot water at 100ºC, ensuring maintenance is hassle-free.

New Robotic Lawnmower and More

In addition to the Saros 20, Roborock also launched the RockMow X1 LiDAR, refreshing its line of robotic lawnmowers. Featuring four-wheel drive, this model can scale slopes of up to 80% and clear 8cm steps. Its navigation system combines LiDAR and visual SLAM to function independently of satellite signals. Users can adjust cut heights between 4 and 9 centimeters, with the ability to cover up to 2,000 square meters per day.

Qrevo Curv Series and Other Innovations

Roborock has also upgraded its Qrevo Curv series with the introduction of the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow. This model replaces the traditional dual rotating mops with a self-cleaning roller that extends 10mm to facilitate wall cleaning.

The Future with the F25 ACE Pro

Concluding the lineup is the Roborock F25 ACE Pro, a vacuum cleaner and scrubber with a broom-type design capable of tilting up to 180 degrees. This allows it to reach under furniture easily. It comes with a self-cleaning base that sanitizes and dries the rollers at 95ºC, effectively eliminating bacteria. Like the other models, availability and pricing are anticipated for this year.

As 2026 approaches, these innovative offerings from Roborock highlight their commitment to enhancing home cleaning solutions with remarkable technology.
