China continues to dominate the field of mega-construction with its latest achievement: the Fenglai Daxi River Grand Bridge. With a total span of 580 meters, this bridge boasts the largest steel span in the world. This improvement is part of a broader initiative that includes 52 infrastructure projects, more than 1,200 kilometers of highways, and a projected investment of 155 billion yuan (approximately 19 billion euros).
