Sp, H, Frp and Venstre form a new county council in Nordland – Labor loses power for the first time – news Nordland

– We have had good cooperation within the county council that has been. But we saw that the possibilities of getting a governing majority lay with the four of us standing here now. This is what new incoming county council leader Svein Eggesvik (Sp) says at a press conference together with the Conservative Party, Liberal Party and FRP in Bodø today. Ever since Nordland County Council formed its first county council in 1999, there has been one common denominator. The Labor Party has always been in power in the traditional red county. But now there will be a blue shift in Nordland as well, even though Ap became the largest party in the county election. The Center Party changes sides, and forms a majority with the Conservative Party, the Progressive Party and the Liberal Party. This is confirmed by the top of the list for the Center Party, Svein Eggesvik to news. – This coalition marks the beginning of a new era in the whole of Nordland. The northerner should notice that this is a blue-green change of pace, says Eggesvik. Together, this four-leaf clover will have 23 and 45 seats in the county council, and thus a majority. The municipal council in Nordland Nordland has undefined seats in the municipal council. The places are distributed as follows: Eggesvik is clear that it was important for the Center Party that they were given the post of county council leader. – We want to be in a position to get as much as possible back for our policy. Holding the top position in the county council means that we can put forward the most centrist party policies possible. On Thursday it became known that the Center Party had entered into talks with the bourgeois parties in Nordland. The current deputy leader of the county council, Svein Eggesvik (Sp) was then aware that it was challenging to find a governing majority on the red-green side. Today, Eggesvik and co. in a position in the county council together with the Labor Party, SV and KrF. Sharing the county council leader job An unusual move in the new blue-green cooperation in Nordland is that the Center Party and the Conservative Party will share the role of county council leader. The other parties also switch roles along the way. A pure county council relay is set up. The new county council in Nordland. This is despite the fact that the Conservative Party is the largest party in the new blue-green collaboration with 11 representatives. – A new era for Nordland Marianne Dobak Kvensjø rejects that the Conservative Party has sold itself cheaply in the new collaboration. – This is the best solution. Then we must be honest that when we negotiate it is about give and take. All parties have entered into a compromise. At the same time, we are breaking up a long-standing Labor Party hegemony in Nordland. We believe that this collaboration is the beginning of a new era that will take Nordland forward. Want to close down the county council The Progress Party will get the county council for planning and industry for the first two years, but will replace this with responsibility for transport from 2025. Incoming county council for industry Bjørn Larsen (Frp) believes the citizens of Nordland will notice that the Frp has gained a position. He does not take it too seriously today that the FRP has called for the abolition of the county council. – As long as the majority in the Storting has decided by the county council to be there, we must be where the power is. The county municipality has, among other things, responsibility for transport, which is very important for the Progress Party. Then it is important for us to have one hand on the wheel. The Conservative Party gets county council for transport for the first two years, and responsibility for education throughout the period. The Center Party will be responsible for finance and organization throughout the period, and will take over the county council for planning and industry for the last two years. During the entire period, the Liberal Party will be responsible for society and the climate sector. Deputy leader Ida Gudding Johnsen in Nordland Venstre is happy with that. She has great faith that the four parties will be able to get cheaper bus and speedboat tickets in the county. – It is at the top of our list. We feel that there is a great willingness to cooperate in order to move Nordland forward. HISTORY: This county council, consisting of the Center Party, the Labor Party, SV and KrF is now history. Photo: Nordland county council Consider removing the county council organization On top of it all, the county council will also investigate whether to scrap the whole of parliamentarism and reintroduce the chairmanship model. In practice, this means that one opens the door to demolishing one’s own county council. These are some of the promises to the new county council taken from the cooperation agreement that was signed yesterday. The county municipality must be positively disposed to private initiatives and new forms of cooperation. A flexible and decentralized study offer should provide good learning throughout life. A cheaper and greener public transport service equips us for the future. We must ensure alternative and flexible transport solutions in the districts. We want to strengthen local self-government, and revitalize county democracy. We will investigate the reintroduction of the chairmanship model. We will work to increase the production of renewable power in Nordland.
