5 September 2022 at 08:18 Price jump for European gas The gas price in Europe rose by as much as 30 percent on Monday morning after Russia’s Gazprom announced before the weekend that they will not start supplies again as planned. It is the price of gas for delivery next month that will rise sharply on Monday morning, writes Dagens Næringsliv and refers to Bloomberg. The gas flow through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline has been greatly reduced in recent months. At the end of last week, the line was closed for maintenance, but was scheduled to reopen on Saturday. Instead, Gazprom stated on Friday evening – after trading with European gas had ended – that Nord Stream 1 will remain closed indefinitely. (NTB)
