6 February 2023 at 10:48 Presenting a large-scale Ukraine package The leaders of the Storting are now meeting to discuss an aid package worth many billions of kroner for Ukraine. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) and Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (Sp) are presenting the package. It includes both aid and weapons aid to Ukraine, as well as aid to other countries affected by the consequences of the war. The package is the result of a budget agreement between the governing parties the Labor Party and the Center Party and SV last autumn. – Ap, Sp and SV will ask the government to come back to the Storting with a framework and program for how multi-year significant support can be set up and contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine, the agreement states.
