This is confirmed by the English Referees’ Association (PGMOL) on Monday. Earlier this autumn, a video circulated of David Coote, who made condescending comments about former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. This video resulted in an investigation which has concluded that Coote is done as a top referee in England. “David Coote’s actions were a serious breach of the provisions of the employment contract, and his position was considered untenable,” writes the association. PGMOL writes that the judge can appeal the decision.
