The police responded to a report of a disturbance on a bus. According to the circumstances, the victim will be fine, but she will remain in the hospital for observation. The male suspect was arrested at 3 p.m. – The suspect is in the hospital under police guard, says Jøran Solheim, operations manager in the South-West police district. At 16:39 the police report that the suspect is being taken into custody after medical supervision. The police are opening a case to be investigated further. There must not be a relationship between the suspect and the victim. The police have interviewed witnesses and secured video of the incident. The perpetrator was lying on the ground at a bus stop at the Oasen shopping center on Karmøy when the police arrived. The police state that they have control over the man. On-site investigations are carried out. The condition of the woman is not known. The police were notified just before 2.30pm on Friday afternoon.
