27 July 2024 at 18:55 Israeli sources: Nine killed in rocket attack on the Golan Heights At least nine people are said to have been killed after a rocket launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon hit a football field in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday. At least 34 people are said to be injured, 17 of them critically. This is reported by Israeli emergency services. Those killed should be between the ages of 10 and 20, the ambulance service reports. The football field is located in the village of Majdal Shams on the border with Syria. The Israeli military says they are on the scene and helping with the evacuation of the area. The attack is, according to Hezbollah, retaliation for an Israeli attack on villages in southern Lebanon in which four Hezbollah members were killed.
