7 March 2024 at 15:00 NHO on the wage settlement NHO believes that the wage increase in this year’s wage settlement must not affect the competitiveness of Norwegian businesses. The employers’ organization today adopted its position before the settlement. Supplements that are decided centrally must not constitute too large a part of the total framework, because there must be room for local negotiations, states NHO. Many businesses are doing well, while others are struggling, and this underlines the importance of local negotiations, says NHO CEO Ole Erik Almlid.
