Mexican Bullfighter Suffered Serious Injuries During Event

On Thursday, a serious accident occurred during a bullfighting event involving the renowned Mexican bullfighter, Bruno Aloi. The incident took place in the UVI mobile unit at the bullring of The Poplar after Aloi was struck by the second bull of the afternoon. Dr. Enrique Crespo, who attended to him, described the injuries as “very serious,” emphasizing the extensive recovery time that lies ahead for the injured fighter.

Following the accident, it was reported that Aloi sustained a serious injury to the outer face of his right thigh with a significant exit wound. The doctors assessed the injury’s severity, which had two entry and exit paths measuring 20 and 30 centimeters respectively. Additionally, he suffered a severe muscle injury to the vastus lateralis, impacting the femur on the outer and posterior sides of his leg. There was also a significant injury to the distal third of his left leg, measuring 15 centimeters, which caused dissection and affected the warm area while starting to involve the internal saphenous vein. Following his operation, he was urgently transferred to Móstoles Hospital with a prognosis deemed extremely serious, according to Mundotoro.

The incident unfolded while Aloi was in the arena trying to dispatch the bull named Aguadulce, a tense situation that quickly escalated into a medical emergency. His swift transfer to the infirmary and immediate treatment from Dr. Enrique Crespo were crucial in addressing the injuries received during the encounter.
