The Tiktor refers to talk shows and comedy programs, which are recorded in the studio. – I can’t lower my shoulders when I’m sitting in a studio. I don’t think my generation likes it either. It is so fake and set up, he says. – I think my generation is tired of humor set in a studio setting. Takes place at a night club Mokel is one of eight comedians in the new concept, Humoretaten – a new comedy program with sketches and weekly late night shows, which will take place outside the four walls of the studio – which Mokel himself has taken a lot of initiative for. Most will take place live, but the comedians will also create some pre-recorded skits for the show in question. – I think this will feel cozier than if it had been in a studio. – It will probably be more of a revue-like feeling, where people can bring friends and be social together, he smiles. He really became famous when he was on Ballinciaga’s super hit “Dans på bordet”, which was released in 2022 and was also named “Star of the Year” at the Vixen Influencer Awards in the same year. He was also an actor in the series Klassen on news Super. Mokel believes that humor in Norway has changed a lot since the 2000s. Much of the reason is that many young people today have grown up without linear TV. They have almost exclusively dealt with mobile phones and YouTube growing up. – I would say I am a newer version of a comedian. I make young and old laugh on TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. See who is with the Humoretaten at the bottom of the case. Faster and more accessible, the 21-year-old tries to explain in a few words the difference between humor in social media and the so-called traditional humor you usually see on TV. – If something happens, I can post something on TikTok right away. It works much better for the brains of young kids. This way they get dopamine all the time. The humor in social media is much more “here and now” – it is quicker and more accessible, but it also has its disadvantages. – It is very difficult for me to create something that will be big in ten years’ time because the humor goes out of date faster, he says. Photo: Kjetil Solhøi / news – Young people don’t want a paywall – So why should you as a comedian take part in something that will be broadcast on TV, if you have never watched TV? – By participating in something that is broadcast on news TV, hopefully it will be remembered, because my humor will not be on TikTok, says Mokel. The 21-year-old says that he misses the content being archived and stored for good. – In addition, I like that it is broadcast on a free platform, he says. – The content on news is not behind a paywall – it will be a bit like content on TikTok and Snapchat. Anyone can see it and it’s free. – That’s how it is with my generation, we like TikTok and Snapchat because you don’t have to pay anything to use them. Instagram is also free – and news is the closest TV channel you can get to these platforms. David Mokel says that he did not know who Mathea Josefsen was before he started working with her, but says he has become a big fan and is excited to follow her development as a comedian. He himself is excited to work with the experienced and to that extent also the oldest on the team, Robert Stoltenberg. – Right in front of me there is someone who has done much better than well, he says very excitedly. And adds: – But I also got to teach Robert a lot about social media and taught him how to hold a camera, laughs Mokel. There is a lot of fun behind the scenes and Mokel can promise a lot of fun in social media in the future as well. The aim is to lower the shoulders. – It shouldn’t be dangerous if you “fuck up” something either. Maria Stavang, Mathea Josefsen, David Mokel, John Brungot, Arman Surizehi, Christian Fredrik Mikkelsen, Sigrid Bonde Tusvik and Robert Stoltenberg will be seen in Humoretaten after the New Year. To make the program available to everyone, the entire live broadcast will also be recorded and broadcast on TV every Friday. The comedy department consists of these comedians: Maria Stavang, Mathea Josefsen, David Mokel, John Brungot, Arman Surizehi, Christian Fredrik Mikkelsen, Sigrid Bonde Tusvik and Robert Stoltenberg.
