Aston Martin has been a household name in the automotive world for over a century, known for its high-performance sports cars and luxurious design . Now, the British brand is shifting gears, embracing an entirely new and innovative project that breaks away from wheels and pistons. For its latest venture, Aston Martin has chosen not the racetracks, but instead, concrete, wood, glass, and exceptional architectural design.
Following the trend set by many luxury car manufacturers, Aston Martin has unveiled its first private residence in Asia: No. 001 Minami Aoyama , nestled in the upscale neighborhood of Omotesandō in Tokyo.
“The new townhouse is the first private residence designed by the British ultra-luxury brand in Asia,” the company stated regarding this pioneering project.
From the Circuit to the City
The allure of this project extends far beyond its real estate exclusivity in one of Tokyo’s most coveted areas. It integrates elements of the Aston Martin DNA into every corner of the house, creating a seamless blend of luxurious living and automotive passion.

More than ever, luxury car manufacturers are expanding their horizons into exclusive real estate projects. Renowned names such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Bentley , and Bugatti are diversifying their portfolios, bringing the same meticulous attention to detail used in their supercars to luxury buildings and residences. This trend caters to a growing market of clients seeking integral experiences , where the logo on the car symbolizes not just a manufacturer, but also a lifestyle imbued with exclusive and opulent details.

“One of the most significant aspects of this design is the car gallery , which provides an exhibition space for two Aston Martins, presenting them as sculptural works of art ,” the brand highlights, emphasizing the importance of automotive aesthetics even within the home. Being able to linger on a plush sofa while admiring the elegant lines of your supercar represents a new paradigm in experiencing luxury.
This isn’t Aston Martin’s inaugural foray into real estate. The brand has previously engaged in custom residential developments, including the Aston Martin Residences in Miami and The Astera Interiors by Aston Martin in Dubai , showcasing its commitment to luxurious living.

It’s a House, but It’s Aston Martin
Project No. 001 Minami Aoyama encapsulates 724 m² of opulent living space spread across four levels, featuring an architecture that harmonizes Japanese minimalism with the quintessential British elegance that defines Aston Martin cars.
The residence includes three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a gym, a wine cellar, a private cinema, and even a basement simulator . The outdoor spa area and hydromassage bathtub are adorned with hinoki wood , while the kitchen is crafted from volcanic stone, evoking the materials used in the interiors of the DBX .
“Clean lines, intricate boundaries, and expansive views enable residents to connect with and experience this unique location,” stated Marek Reichman , Executive Vice President and Creative Director of Aston Martin. A folded steel staircase , inspired by Origami , beautifully connects the four levels, while the landscaped terrace on the roof offers a relaxing space with breathtaking views of the city, including the Tokyo Tower .
“The increasing presence of Aston Martin in Japan and the broader Asian market has yielded fertile ground for inspiration and collaboration,” Reichman added. Though the purchase price of the house remains undisclosed, a recently sold 650-square-meter attic in the same neighborhood was listed for approximately $65 million , further emphasizing the luxury of this innovative property.
Aston Martin’s first private residence in Asia marks a bold step into the real estate market, combining automotive excellence with luxurious living . As the brand continues to carve out new pathways, it becomes evident that Aston Martin isn’t just about producing high-performance cars anymore; it’s about creating a comprehensive lifestyle that exudes elegance, sophistication, and luxury. Whether on the racetrack or in the serene setting of a Tokyo townhouse, the spirit of Aston Martin lives on.
