Government Extends State of Emergency in Lima and Callao
The government led by José Jerí has formally extended the state of emergency in Lima and Callao by an additional 30 days, starting from November 21, 2025. Following the state of emergency, the Unified Operational Coordination Command (CCO) will report its findings to the Minister of the Interior, who will then pass this information to President Jerí, the Congress, and the Judiciary within five business days.

Budget provisions will be allocated to support the measures undertaken during this state of emergency. The Ministry of Economy and Finance will oversee any additional resources required to ensure effective operations.
