Fonavi Approves Payment Group for Reimbursement 4 on August 28
This Thursday, August 28, marks an important date for thousands of Fonavistas as the disbursement of the new payment related to the Reimbursement 4 from the Fonavi will take place at the Bank of the Nation. This announcement was made by José Cortez, a member of the Ad Hoc Commission and representative of the National Fonavist Federation Association of Peru (Fenaf Peru).
Cortez mentioned, “The Ad Hoc Commission has authorized the Technical Secretary to coordinate with the Bank of the Nation to ensure the payment for the Fonavistas who are part of the Reimbursement Payment Group No. 4, totaling 73,729 beneficiaries.” This number includes 11,494 deceased Fonavistas, whose payments can be collected by their heirs.
On Tuesday, August 26, the commission plans to approve the payment resolution, which will be published on the 27th, allowing the beneficiaries to withdraw their funds starting on August 28. Cortez emphasized the importance of this step, urging Fonavistas to go to the bank on that same day.
During the recent meeting held on August 21, Cortez revealed the progress made by the Ad Hoc Commission. The crucial agreement achieved was to permit the technical secretary to collaborate with the Bank of the Nation so the funds for the payment can be processed smoothly.

Here are some key details about the beneficiary payments:
- A total of 73,729 Fonavistas will be receiving this payment.
- 62,235 of these are living Fonavistas eligible to collect their returns.
- The remaining 11,494 Fonavistas are deceased, and their payouts can be claimed by their heirs.
Upcoming Steps for Fonavistas
The Ad Hoc Commission has detailed the following schedule to facilitate this payment process:
- An extraordinary session will occur on Tuesday, August 26, to finalize the resolution necessary for making these payments.
- The official publication in El Peruano will be released on Wednesday, August 27.
- On Thursday, August 28, Fonavistas can begin collecting their returns at the Bank of the Nation.
Furthermore, José Cortez is inviting all Fonavistas to an informative assembly set for August 27 at 10:00 AM in Plaza San Martín. The focus will be on discussing the Fonavistas’ rights and informing them about ongoing developments regarding the returns they are entitled to.
In addition, Luis Luzuriaga, president of the Ad Hoc Commission, recently announced that another group of BENEFICIARY FONAVISTAS associated with List 22 will receive their payments in November. He assured that financing for this group is confirmed, and the inclusion of up to 100,000 individuals, previously excluded, will be approved.
This comprehensive approach aims to enhance the situation for around 170,000 beneficiary Fonavistas by 2026, albeit with some uncertainties looming over the returns they may receive in the future.
