Among the partners present, the Maison de l'Europe attracted many visitors. Laeticia Raawan, in charge of mobility projects, presented the numerous actions carried out within the framework of Erasmus + , in particular, professional internships in Malta, Sweden, or Spain. She also highlighted the volunteering programs of the European Solidarity Corps : "What's good about these projects is that we prepare them. We do conflict management and linguistic unlocking courses because we know that some young people don’t like speaking languages. We help them to overcome that,” she explains.

Discover Another Culture

Every year, twelve young foreign volunteers come to Nîmes and its surroundings for 10 months, involved in varied missions across culture, education, or ecology. Laeticia emphasized: “We also send young people abroad: to Poland, Turkey, or even Latvia; it’s a great opening experience,” she continues. The Maison de l'Europe also offers youth exchanges, comparable to summer camps, focused on European themes such as climate change or voting rights. She stated, "These projects allow those who have never left to discover another culture for 15 days, while engaging in debates on current European topics."

This Erasmus Days event allowed approximately thirty students to learn concretely about mobility options abroad, promoting the richness of cultural and human exchanges as driving forces for openness, meetings, and discoveries. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with enthusiastic discussions and information sharing, creating a sense of community among participants.

Testimonials from Participants
