In Nayarit, a subject identified by federal authorities was arrested as a violence generator. This individual, known as Maximum “N” or The Max, was apprehended along with 20 kilograms of drugs, two kilos of cocaine, and more than 600 thousand pesos in cash.
Intelligence reports suggest that The Max is aligned with the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG). This cartel, in collaboration with others, has reportedly been targeting a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel. According to estimates, the value of the seized substances exceeds 676 thousand pesos.
The arrest, reported on July 7, occurred in the town of Heriberto Jara within the municipality of Ahuacatlán. This operation was triggered by a report of armed individuals present in a building.
The Max and two additional accomplices were captured during a meticulous search. The report by the Ministry of Citizen Security and Protection (SSPC) labels The Max as a violence generator not just in Ahuacatlán, but also in nearby locations, including Tuxpan, Ruíz, Acaponeta, and Nayarit.
As a result of the search, law enforcement agents seized five vehicles, three motorcycles, and several cell phones. A secondary search revealed additional items of interest.
“One was a secondary property located in the Demetrio Vallejo neighborhood, where tactical garments, cartridges, and an illegal communications system were discovered. This finding is part of the report issued by Federal Authorities.”
Reports indicate that The Max was allegedly involved in orchestrating attacks against a faction of the Sinaloa cartel previously led by Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada. This aggression stems from an ongoing struggle for dominance in criminal operations.
It is believed that assaults against their rivals predominantly occurred within the municipality of Huajicori.
The other two individuals arrested alongside The Max have been identified as Gabriela “M”, 31 years old, and José María “A”, 27 years old. The three detainees have been handed over to the Public Ministry for further legal proceedings.
The arrests were executed with the participation of elements from the Army, the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), the SSPC, and the National Guard.
