Government of Edomex Expands Support for Victims of Feminicide and Disappearance
The Government of the State of Mexico has taken significant steps to assist families affected by high-impact crimes such as feminicide and disappearance. Recently, they delivered 151 supports through the Food Basket program, dedicating an investment of 4.3 million pesos for the year 2026. This initiative, administered by the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims of the State of Mexico, aims to provide economic aid to families grappling with the aftermath of these tragic events.
Inclusion of Older Adults as Beneficiaries
A notable improvement this time around is the inclusion of 40 older adults as direct beneficiaries of this program. Recognizing their role in caring for orphaned minors, the government has expanded its support to those who take on significant responsibilities during these difficult times.

The monthly support includes a contribution of 2,200 pesos for up to 12 months for the usual recipients. However, older adults caring for minors receive an increased amount of 3,000 pesos monthly.
