26 December 2023 at 01:42 Man dies in traffic accident in Trøndelag A man has been confirmed dead after a traffic accident on the E39 in Viggjatunnelen in Orkland in Trøndelag on Monday evening. – We were notified of the accident via AMK at 10.16pm. Resuscitation was attempted, but the man was confirmed dead at the scene, says operations manager Bjørnar Gaasvik to NTB. The next of kin have been notified of the death. He further says that there are surveillance cameras in the tunnel and that the police are working to obtain an overview of these. – We are also in contact with a couple of witnesses. We don’t know how much they have seen, but at least they have been there, says Gaasvik. The National Road Administration’s accident team is also in place at the scene of the accident.
