An SMS from the “police” states that the document about the summons can be obtained from the attached website. It goes directly to BankID. – This is fraud. Do not click on the link, says operations manager Atle Bernhoft von Obstfelder at the Innlandet police district. Have received several calls about fraud The police have received calls from several people who have received an SMS. – It appears that there are people from several places in the country who have received this SMS, says Obstfelder. The SMS is allegedly from the police, and contains a document regarding an outstanding summons. It has a link to a website that you have to click on. Then you enter my page on NAV. If you press it, you will enter BankID. The SMS is not from the police. – It is a fraud. If you enter this, you will be defrauded. That is why we are now going with people not having to press this. On Thursday morning, many people called the police about this. The police fear that many more have received it and will therefore warn against the fraud. – There is reason to believe that many people have received this SMS today. Both we at the operations center and the switchboard have received many such calls today. Several of those who have received it have probably not contacted us either, says Obstfelder. The police are not aware that anyone has actually been defrauded. – We don’t know that. Those who have called us have either not clicked on the link or clicked on it, but did not proceed. There are different age groups who have received this SMS, according to the police.
