26 September 2023 at 09:00 Norway provides NOK 650 million for humanitarian support in Ukraine through the UN Through the Nansen programme, Norway will contribute NOK 650 million to Ukrainians in need through the UN before winter. In total, Norway will spend NOK one billion on emergency aid in Ukraine – NOK 350 million to the Red Cross movement and NOK 650 million to go through the UN, including the humanitarian country fund in Ukraine. The support is part of the Nansen programme, which was adopted by a broad parliamentary majority in February this year. The program consists of NOK 75 billion over a five-year period and will be used for both military, civilian and humanitarian aid. (NTB)
