16 December 2022 at 03:50 Twitter bans journalists Twitter has removed the accounts of journalists from several American media covering the company and its new owner, Elon Musk. These include journalists from the New York Times, the Washington Post and CNN. Neither the company nor Musk has given any reason for the choice to remove these Twitter accounts. It comes a day after Twitter temporarily shut down an account that follows Elon Musk’s private jet. Shortly afterwards, the company stated that it had changed its guidelines to limit access to sharing other people’s locations via Twitter. Several of the journalists who had their accounts removed on Thursday night had written about the new guidelines and Musk’s reasoning for introducing them. (NTB)
