Two people have been brought in by the police after the murder of a man in his 20s in Greenland in Oslo on the night of Sunday. One of the two is charged with complicity in murder. The police do not rule out more arrests in the case. The police say it is not a random murder, and justify it by the fact that there is a relationship between the perpetrator and the victim. More than that, Renate Myhre Medby at the crime station in Oslo will not elaborate to news yet. No murder weapon has been seized yet. Nor can the police say anything yet about what kind of environment the murder can be linked to. Killed at the subway station It was at 04:18 that the police were notified by witnesses at the subway station in Greenland that a person had been shot. – The person was first looked after by health personnel, but was declared dead on the spot after a short time, the police in Oslo said on Twitter. Relatives of the deceased have been notified. – We were on the scene early and found a man who had been shot and with injuries that were not compatible with life, so he was declared dead early. In retrospect, we have worked with many crews out in the area around Grønland/Brugata in search of the described persons, says the police’s task leader Rune Hundere to NTB. Searching for weapons and perpetrator The police searched for a perpetrator who was seen running from the scene. – We have now finished the operational search for the perpetrator, but are working broadly with intelligence and the investigative trail, reports operations manager Line Skott at the Oslo police. Forensic technicians are on the scene, and the police have great resources at work to look for the perpetrator. – We have a decent description of the person in question and we have relevant candidates that we are working with. We do not think it is a case of random shooting, so considering the information we have, there is no reason to believe that there is a danger to the public in the area, says Skott. According to Avisa Oslo, Greenland is closed over the Vaterland bridge, and observation posts have been set up in nearby areas.
