On May 22, a family statement disclosed that musician Alejandro Marcovich has suffered a stroke and remains in a coma. The former guitarist of Caifanes was rushed to the hospital after experiencing serious health complications.

The statement, signed by family members Gabriela Martínez, Béla Marcovich Martínez, and Diego Marcovich Martínez, revealed that the artist is currently in a coma in intensive care with a guarded prognosis. They noted that he is under the care of specialist doctors while being accompanied by his wife and children.

The stroke occurred on the night of May 19, necessitating his immediate hospitalization. The family indicated that there are currently no further details about the causes or his medical progress, and they expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support: “We are very grateful for so many expressions of affection, prayers, and good wishes that have been sent to us.”

In 2010, Alejandro was diagnosed with a brain tumor that required surgery—a pivotal moment in his life. Throughout this challenging period, he received unwavering support from his loved ones.

In 2022, Marcovich faced another health hurdle when he announced his battle with prostate cancer.
