Experience the Museum of Natural History and Environmental Culture during Holy Week 2026

During Holy Week, the Museum of Natural History and Environmental Culture in Mexico City offers an extraordinary program aimed at enhancing scientific knowledge and fostering appreciation for biodiversity. From April 1 to April 5, 2026, visitors of all ages can delve into various educational activities focusing on the origin of life and environmental rights, bridging science with daily life experiences.

Specialized Tours

This Easter weekend, the museum will open its Origin of Life Room and Mexico Megadiverse Room for guided tours. Scheduled visits at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM in the Set of Two Vaults, as well as at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM in the Set of Four Vaults, allow attendees to uncover how science explains life’s emergence and the rich variety of species in Mexico. These explorative tours are designed to foster a closer bond with nature by observing natural phenomena and the nocturnal activities of Mexican mammals.

Engaging Science Talks

The Biolaboratory will serve as a hub for scientific dialogue. Specialists will share accessible and engaging content about the natural environment during sessions held on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM. This interactive space invites the public to engage directly with science through questions and observation.

Temporary Exhibition and Immersive Experiences

Visiting the museum this week also grants access to the temporary exhibition “DESCA”. This exhibition, operated by the National Human Rights Commission, discusses economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights, emphasizing their significance for leading dignified and free lives. The exhibition is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday.

In celebration of Pronatura Mexico’s 45th anniversary, the museum is also featuring the immersive experience “Unique Mexico: Features of Our Megadiversity”. Located in the Three Vaults Complex, this sensory journey allows participants to explore the country’s biological wealth, fostering a deeper connection to the natural environment. This experience is also available from Tuesday to Sunday during regular hours.

  • Entry Fees: 39 pesos for general admission, 19 pesos for students, teachers, children, and people with disabilities. Free entry for children under 3 years old.
