This marks Jonah Hill’s directorial debut, filmed in 4:3 aspect ratio, boasting a soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. It is an intimate love letter to mid-90s Los Angeles, acclaimed for its authenticity and melancholy. One of the best coming-of-age films of the last decade, produced by A24.
