In 2014, there was a 200-year flood at Voss, which caused the water to seep into the cellar. Then they had to pump out the water and clean it up. Sigbjørn Slåtten is the owner’s representative at the hotel, and shows off the wine cellar. Here lies wine worth several tens of millions of kroner, according to Slåtten. During the flood in 2014, water entered the wine cellar, and bottles and crates floated around. Last night, the staff moved all the wine up from the floor so it wouldn’t happen again.
