Luigi Carbajal Clarifies His Absence from Luisito Sánchez’s Baby Shower

Cumbia singer Luigi Carbajal has addressed the speculation surrounding his absence from childhood friend Luis Sanchez, known as Luisito, during the recent baby shower organized for his niece, the child of Ricky Trevitazzo.

Work Commitments Take Precedence

In an interview with América Espectáculos, Carbajal emphasized that his commitments with his orchestra are the primary reason for not attending the event. “I didn’t go because I work with my orchestra on weekends, so I travel, and it’s difficult to stop working because that’s how we live off of. But I would have loved to be able to accompany him on an important day for him,” he stated. This assertion comes in response to rampant rumors suggesting a fallout between the two artists.

Maintaining Strong Ties

Despite the rumors, Carbajal reassured fans and followers that his friendship with Luisito remains intact. “We talk to Luisito from time to time. I bother him, I salute him. There are some presentations where I am going to invite him to play with my orchestra. I am delighted to be able to work with him,” he expressed. The singer made it clear that their bond is everlasting, even if communication had been less frequent recently.

Clearing Up Misunderstandings

Furthermore, when asked about his relationship with Ricky Trevitazzo, Carbajal denied any confrontations. He expressed his willingness to meet up and clarified, “I have no problems. I think he creates things in his head where he will think that one has said things.” This openness to dialogue signifies a desire to maintain positive relationships within the cumbia music scene.

Raising Awareness for a Good Cause

Carbajal’s statements unfolded during a League Against Cancer campaign aimed at promoting awareness regarding preventive checkups for cervical cancer. The alarming statistics shared by the league highlighted that seven women die every day from this disease in Peru; a pressing urgency for preventive health measures.

As part of this campaign, Carbajal joined other prominent Peruvian artists, such as Giuliana Rengifo and Sergio Romero. Their collective efforts encourage women aged 25 to 64 to undergo regular tests like Pap smears, with the hope of increasing screening rates, which currently stand at only 50%.

Encouraging Early Detection

Giuliana Rengifo’s personal experience with cancer detection added weight to the campaign’s message. “Thank God they detected a tumor that is not malignant, and I must have surgery. I advise you to take some time to check, especially now that there is law 31561 that grants a day off to all working women for check-ups,” she reinforced.

In conclusion, Luigi Carbajal’s dedication to both his work and health awareness initiatives highlights a multifaceted personality who values friendship, responsibilities, and community welfare. His absence from the baby shower was driven by necessity, not conflict, reaffirming the strength of his ties to fellow artists.
