## Europe’s Technological Sovereignty Adventure

Europe is on a mission to achieve technological sovereignty, with a focus on multiple fields, including space. Recently, the European Defense Agency (EDA) awarded a significant research contract aimed at developing a military satellite specifically optimized for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO).

### Sener Takes the Lead

Leading this ambitious project is the Spanish company Sener Aeroespacial, which will spearhead a consortium of 17 companies from Spain, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Slovenia. The EDA contract is valued at €15.65 million and aims to create the first European military satellite designed for operations in VLEO.
