Fortunately, the battery was salvageable; it had a localized fault that could be repaired instead of requiring full replacement. While the exact cost of this repair hasn’t been disclosed, the owner was relieved to save a significant amount of money while still recovering his prized LaFerrari.

To alleviate some of these high-stake risks, Ferrari introduced an extended warranty last year. This program will replace traction batteries for vehicles covered under this warranty during the 8th and 16th years of their service life.
