27 September 2022 at 08:21 Statistics Norway: Young women have worse health than 20 years ago In a report from Statistics Norway, they write that many women live with pain and ailments. Between the ages of 16 and 24, half say that they are plagued by permanent and recurring headaches. Young women today have slightly worse health compared to women of the same age 20 years ago. – Although most people believe that they are in good health, there are many women who say that they are plagued by symptoms such as stomach pain, headaches, sleep difficulties and other pains in the body, says senior adviser at Statistics Norway Elin Skretting Lunde in the report. Lunde says that the problems are probably about school-related stress, demands and pressure linked to appearance and body. – The extent and increase in problems must also be seen in the context of the fact that more and more young people are struggling with psychological problems, says Lunde. These are some of the findings that are mentioned in the report “Women’s health over the last 20 years”, which Statistics Norway has prepared on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
