On June 7, 2025, the  Aegean Sea  was shaken by a  3.9 magnitude earthquake . According to the  Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) , the epicenter was located at a depth of  55.2 kilometers . The nearest populated area,  Datça , which is part of the Muğla province, lies approximately  86.28 kilometers  from the quake’s center. At the time of reporting, there was no confirmed information regarding casualties or damage to properties.
