Lola Padilla’s Television Debut on ‘El Show de Paz’

Telecinco has recently introduced Lola Padilla, the older sister of Paz Padilla, as a new face on television through the show El Show de Paz. Despite being the sibling of a well-known presenter, Lola is feeling nervous and overwhelmed by this sudden leap into the spotlight.

Feeling Overwhelmed but Committed

In a candid interview with Infobae, Lola expressed her anxiousness regarding her new role. “I’m attacked… I seem calmer now because we’ve already had the press conference. It’s the first one I’ve done,” she shared. Despite her nerves, she questioned whether this world truly belongs to her, stating, “This world is not for me… Well, for now.”

Her sister, Paz, played a crucial role in encouraging her to join the show. “My sister started telling me ‘come, come,’ and I didn’t believe it when I told her: ‘Well, look, yes, I’m leaving,'” said Lola. After retiring from her career as an X-ray technician, she found herself with plenty of time and a newfound opportunity that she couldn’t resist.

Facing the Spotlight

Initially hesitant, Lola had doubts about her suitability for television. “At first, I thought ‘not me yet’; I’m not good for that,” she admitted. Yet, upon reflection, she decided to embrace the challenge. Meditation has become her go-to method for coping with nerves, providing her with clarity and relaxation as she navigates this new realm.

However, she admits, “I find it very complicated… I’ve never seen myself on television,” acknowledging the challenges her sister faces, which seem daunting to her.

Grappling with Anxiety

Despite her skills and determination, Lola candidly admits, “I’m afraid of everything—the lights, the interviews. I’m afraid of everything, really.” Her main concern lies in authenticity, worrying that viewers might not perceive her as she truly is.

Luckily, the format of the show offers some comfort. “For now, since the program is going to be about humor and love, let’s hope that love fills all the hearts of everyone who watches,” she optimistically stated, preparing to face the public scrutiny.

Dealing with Criticism

Having witnessed the criticisms that her sister Paz has faced, she’s bracing herself for similar challenges. Lola revealed that her mother took most of the criticism towards Paz to heart, but eventually, Paz adopted a “screw them” attitude, which Lola plans to emulate if faced with negativity. “If people start saying things about me, I’ll say: ‘What is there, what am I going to do?'” she remarked.

Lola Padilla’s journey into the television world is not just about stepping into the spotlight; it’s about facing fears, embracing new challenges, and staying true to herself. As she embarks on this exciting chapter, viewers are undoubtedly eager to see how Lola navigates her path alongside her successful sister, Paz.
