“The Rush of Summer Visitors”

As the bustling crowd enjoyed the sun, a parking attendant at the  Paul Féval relay  echoed a familiar sentiment: “It’s non-stop this afternoon.” Despite the busy atmosphere, some parking spaces remained empty, which indicated that while the crowd was substantial, the town had not yet reached full capacity.

“We haven’t had a break,” said a staff member from the tourist office, showcasing the relentless demand for information on activities as holiday-goers sought out new experiences. This desire for exploration is indicative of the populace’s eagerness to soak in  Saint-Malo’s  rich history and beautiful coast.

Relaxation by the Sea

On the  Sillon , a gentle sea breeze kept the temperature just under  20 degrees  Celsius. While some enjoyed sunbathing, others opted for strolls along the picturesque promenade. As laughter and chatter drifted through the air, mingling languages, holidaymakers and locals alike basked in this seasonal warmth.

The Buzz of Intra-Muros

At  Sanchez , patrons waited eagerly while eyeing the delicious ice creams enjoyed by others. Not far away,  Hector’s  served countless waffles and Nutella doughnuts to an insatiable crowd.

Down near the  Fort National , construction crews worked to clean the duck pond, all while curious visitors watched the unusual sight. One passerby remarked, “Is there anyone working today?” Generally, the spirit of holiday cheer reigned, with those engaged in tasks still engaging in the lively atmosphere of  Saint-Malo .

The scenery of  Saint-Malo  on this day encapsulates the spirit of summer, as local inhabitants and tourists alike relished a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter, exploration, and, of course, delicious treats.
