Dresden – The parents of 21-year-old Emma, who was fatally stabbed in Dresden, are reaching out to the public in a poignant video, seeking witnesses to her tragic fate.
The grieving parents demand answers: Why did their daughter lose her life following an illegal techno party in a forest in Saxony? They appeal to other party-goers not to remain silent.

“What we are doing now is incredibly, incredibly difficult,” Emma’s mother says in the video, struggling with tears and thanking everyone for their overwhelming support. She addresses the party attendees directly: “To clarify this case, we need your witness statements – without that, we cannot move forward.”
What We Know About the Night of the Incident
Sunday, May 18, 2025 – Laußnitzer Heide in the Bautzen District. Approximately 200 techno fans celebrated all night at an illegal forest party. Police disrupted the gathering at around 6:40 AM on a clearing along the “Alte Vier” hiking trail.

After the party ended, attendees began their way home, with some walking along the “Grüne Eins” path. This route leads to Ottendorf-Okrilla, four kilometers away, where Regional Train 33 connects to Dresden.
According to BILD’s information, party guests encountered Emma’s boyfriend, a 16-year-old student who appeared disoriented and intoxicated, with blood on his hands. Soon after, Emma’s body was discovered, covered in stab wounds to her neck and abdomen.
Investigators secured the murder weapon – a small knife. The teenager was arrested. The investigative judge ordered the temporary commitment of the suspected minor to a psychiatric facility. A drug test returned positive. The motive and circumstances remain entirely unclear.

Emma’s father wrote on Instagram: “Even though the alleged perpetrator was apprehended, many questions regarding the night of the incident remain. There are still people who may have important information but are reluctant to come forward.”
Witnesses Should Not Be Afraid
The police are searching for witnesses among party-goers. The problem is that illegal parties often involve drug use, making some attendees fearful of getting involved. However, this concern does not impact the investigation, as the techno community “Tolerave” states on their Instagram page. So far, only five tips regarding the death of the young woman have been submitted to the police.
Emma’s parents encourage sharing their video online. They also urge the parents of party-goers to initiate conversations with their children, promoting understanding rather than condemnation regarding party culture or potential drug use. They may also need help processing their fears.

Emma’s mother hopes that witnesses will come forward. By remaining silent, they could inadvertently protect the perpetrator.
