At Least 100 People Killed by Israeli Bombings Overnight

More than **100 individuals** have been reported killed due to **Israeli air bombings** in the Gaza Strip during the recent weekend, as noted by various sources. **Khalil Al-Deqran**, spokesperson for the **Gaza Ministry of Health**, expressed the devastation by stating, “We have at least **100 martyrs** since that night. Whole families have been **wiped out** by these bombings.” The **Palestinian press agency Wafa** corroborates this data, declaring **108 dead** and dozens injured in what they described as **“massacres”** occurring across multiple areas of Palestinian territory.

One of the strikes specifically targeted a camp for the **displaced** located in **Khan Younès**, in the southern region of the Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that approximately **40 people** lost their lives in this particular attack, which was branded by **Hamas** as a **“new brutal crime.”** They also accused the **U.S. administration** of being complicit in the rise of violence during this time.

Additional strikes have hit homes in **Zawaida** and **Deir al-Balah** in the central area, as well as in **Jabalia** and **Beit Lahia** in the north, according to Wafa. On this particularly **“bloody”** night, rescue teams scoured the rubble in search of victims, but many reported working **barehanded**, lacking essential equipment, vehicles, or protection gear. This shortage is exacerbated by Israel’s blockade, which has restricted the entry of **medical supplies**, **fuel**, and **food** since March 2.

Among the casualties of these night strikes are three **journalists** and their families, as reported by **Reuters**. Medical officials reported that a family in northern Gaza lost at least **twenty members** in these bombings. Additionally, **Zakaria al-Sinwar**, brother of the former Hamas chief, was also among those killed in a strike that destroyed their **tent** in the center of the Gaza Strip. Zakaria, a professor of history at a Gaza university, had been actively involved in educating the youth amidst the ongoing conflict.

The Israeli army announced on Saturday the commencement of **“major strikes”** aimed to **“take control of zones”** within the Palestinian territories to fulfill their military objectives. This relentless campaign has wreaked havoc across the enclave, resulting in nearly all inhabitants being displaced from their homes and contributing to the staggering death toll of over **53,000 people**, according to Gaza’s health authorities.
