Ingeded for years, the universe of free television never ceases to recompose. A year after having acquired Altice Média, the CMA Média group (company of the CMA CGM group of Rodolphe Saadé) is preparing to add a new TNT channel to an already well-supplied range (BFM-TV, RMC Story, RMC Découverte).

The NRJ group announced on Wednesday May 7 in the evening, having entered exclusive negotiations with the Marseille group “As part of the potential transfer of his Cherie 25 television channel”. A communication confirmed a few moments later by CMA Média: “This operation, if it is materialized, will be part of the growth strategy of the RMC BFM group, and will mark a key step in strengthening its position in the French audiovisual landscape”. It is also part of the search for consolidation that Nicolas de Tavernost, now, now ex-CEO of RMC BFM but still vice-president of CMA Média and advisor to Mr. Saadé.
