How did the Met Gala serve as a reunion for Euphoria’s cast?
During a brief interview with this year’s Vogue Met Gala livestream hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim, Spanish singer Rosalía teased her first foray into acting with HBO‘s forthcoming third season of Euphoria.
“This is my first job, eh? Well, I’m learning, I’m figuring it out,” she said amid explaining her look for fashion’s biggest night, a custom mannequin-inspired dress by Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing.
She continued, “I’m trying not to forget my lines, but it’s been really inspiring being beside these amazing actors and actresses. My first time, figuring it out, trying to have fun with it, play around, improvise.”
The two-time Grammy-winning Motomami artist was announced as joining the cast back in mid-February, alongside further new additions Marshawn Lynch (Bottoms) and Kadeem Hardison (A Different World).
“Euphoria has been my favorite series of the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all these colleagues that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam’s vision to reality,” she wrote at the time of the announcement.
Since then, actors Sharon Stone, Asante Blackk, and Lucy Punch have joined returning series regulars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi. The Sam Levinson-created show will take the drama’s characters out of high school for the first time, featuring a five-year time jump and set for premiere next year, four years after Season 2’s conclusion.
The Met Gala, the theme of which this year is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” with the addendum dress code “Tailored for You,” featured a Euphoria reunion of sorts, as Rosalía was also in attendance alongside co-stars Zendaya, Schafer, and guest star Colman Domingo.
Season 3, produced in partnership with A24, is currently shooting in Los Angeles.

As fans eagerly wait to hear more about her contributions, there are several facets to explore regarding this collaboration.
The Cultural Impact of ‘Euphoria’
"Euphoria," created by Sam Levinson, has skyrocketed to fame since its debut in 2019, becoming a cultural touchstone for Generation Z. Rosalía’s Musical Evolution
Rosalía has garnered international acclaim for her unique sound, characterized by a blend of modern pop, reggaeton, and traditional flamenco. Her hit singles and albums, including "Los Ángeles" and "El Mal Querer," exhibit her ability to weave intricate narratives through music, often exploring themes of love, loss, and empowerment. As she makes her move into the world of television, fans are hopeful that her artistry will translate seamlessly to the screen, aligning with the show’s dramatic tone and emotional depth.
Through Instagram and other social media platforms, Rosalía hinted at her experience while working on the new season. She described the process as “really inspiring,” which raises questions about what we can expect from her collaboration. Insights into Season 3

The show’s central characters are complex, each grappling with their battles, and Rosalía’s music could serve as a powerful backdrop for these stories.
