Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s rival, Josh Kerr, first stepped across the finish line in Friday’s 1500 meters during “Grand Slam Track” in the United States. Jakob Ingebrigtsen himself does not participate in the tournament. Kerr ran in goal at 3.34.51. American Yared Nuhus finished second, in front of compatriot Cole Hocker. The Grand Slam Track is the big innovation in athletics for the 2025 season. Several of the world’s biggest stars are in the new athletics series of Michael Johnson, including the Ingebrigtsen rivals Kerr, Nuguse and Hocker. However, Ingebrigtsen is not included, where he had been relevant for the short -distance group 800/1500 meters and the long -distance group 3000/5000 meters. Ingebrigtsen has previously told news that 800 meters are something that does not tempt him in connection with the Grand Slam Track series.
