Isidore Partouche, the founder of the group of Casinos Partouche, died at the age of 94, the group announced in a statement on Wednesday April 30. “The Partouche group, its supervisory board, its board and all of its collaborators welcome the memory of an exceptional founder, whose inheritance will continue to enlighten future generations and the whole of the profession”is it specified.

Born in French Algeria, in Trézel, April 21, 1931, Isidore Partouche works for a time as a concessionaire radio for Philips. In 1973, just repatriated from Algeria, he bought with his brothers and sisters the casino of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (North), as well as his thermal establishment and his mineral water source, at the bar of the Commercial Court.

The group, which is today among European leaders and is number two in the sector in France behind Barrière, has 44 casinos in France, Europe and Tunisia as well as 12 hotels, 44 restaurants and two golf courses. Introduced on the stock market in 1995, it employs more than 3,500 people.

From the 2000s, Isidore Partouche had gradually transmitted the reins to his son Patrick, “Ensuring the continuity of a project deeply rooted in family and entrepreneurial values”according to the press release.
