It is limited what Norway’s embassies in Spain and Portugal get done without electricity, says communications adviser Mathias Rongved in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Ministry). “We have employees at both embassies, but they have very limited opportunities to perform services for Norwegian citizens as long as the embassies do not have electricity,” Rongved said in a statement to NTB. The Ministry has sent out a message to Norwegian citizens who have registered in Portugal and Spain, with information that they can contact the UD’s operational center if they do not come through to the embassies in Madrid and Lisbon. – Norwegian citizens in Portugal and Spain should follow the advice of local authorities in this situation, Rongved urges.
